Tom Waits & Crystal Gayle - One From The Heart

This is a test really, to see if I have problems with RS or am just imagineing.
Great Tom Waits stuff, if you're into that, is the 80's trilogy of Swordfishtrombones, Rain Dogs and Frank's Wild Years. Complemented with Big Time just in case you've missed some of the finer points of the studio albums.
The One From The Heart album was made a little before Swordfishtrombones. It's the soundtrack for a Francis Ford Coppola movie and he writes in the linernotes of my 2003 edition:
Tom and I worked together on the songs for the film, from the original conception through the final scoring sessions. My objective was to have all of the songs composed and recorded before any filming, so that we could use the pre-records as a guide during the photography.

Perhaps that makes this album stand apart from Tom Waits oeuvre, even more so because the vocals are shared with Crystal Gayle. The intention was to have musical dialogues but she's a singer who handles solo parts just as easy.
The CD is a release from 2003 to accompany a music video and has linernotes by Coppola, the original recordings are from 1982.

Tom Waits & Crystal Gayle - One From The Heart
(bad luck: RS sees me as a 'collector' rather than a Premium member. Will fix that at some point.)

A quick word

I've been depressed lately, for quite some time but it just was a bit worse last month. Couldn't be bothered with this blog. Or mail.
I thought it would be nice to upload at least something but now I've got some problems with RS.com. Oh well.
